JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN
5. Using wax crayons, draw a picture of your family on paper no larger than 12”x18” (30cm x 45 cm). 6. On an 8.5”x11” (22cm x 28cm) piece of paper create a wax crayon picture using the traced outline of one hand.
7. Sponge painting.

SENIOR KINDERGARTEN
9. On a piece of paper no larger than 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) create a wax crayon picture using the traced outline of both hands.
10. Cut and paste picture, 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) of a person, no photographs. Name the person.
11. Drawing, using wax crayons, 8.5” x 11” (22cm x 28cm) – “What I Like to do at the Fair”.

GRADE 1
13. Paint a picture of your dream pet on 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) paper.

GRADE 3
21. Pencil crayon drawing to illustrate a pioneer way of life on 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) paper.
22. Draw and name a mismatched farm animal, using markers, on paper no larger than 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm).
23. Any abstract design using cut paper, 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm).

GRADE 4
25. Illustrate, using pastels, a “TRACTOR OR TRUCK PULL” on 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) paper.
26. Design your name or initials using crayons or pencil crayons.
27. Picture making – using markers illustrate a scene from Medieval Times – 8.5” x 11” (22cm x 28cm).
28. Make a poster, approx. 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm), showing one Canadian province or territory with its map, flag, some natural resources, and industries. Label.
GRADE 5
29. Create a poster, minimum 11”x17” (28cm x 44cm) showing at least three ways how a person can stay healthy, include text.
30. Pencil sketch of your shoe, black and white, 8.5” x11” (22cm x 28cm) paper.
31. Design a greeting card for a friend, no larger than 5”x7” (12.5cm x 17.5cm).
32. Using mainly popsicle sticks, build a bridge, no more than 24” (60 cm) long and 12” (30 cm) wide. Must be mounted on a sturdy base.
GRADE 6
33. Illustrate a famous invention that was developed in Canada. Name the item, year of development and the name of the inventor.
34. Cut and paste – a leafy tree, 12”x12” (30cm x 30cm).
35. Create a comic strip, at least four frames, with captioning.
36. Illustrate at least three things that contribute to Canada's identity on 18"x24" (45cm x 60 cm) paper.
GRADE 7-8
37. Design a CD cover for a fictitious band.
38. Pencil sketch, no larger than 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm).
39. Half ‘n half picture – cut a picture in half, glue one part onto a page, then draw and colour to complete the whole.
40. Cartoon drawing – any subject, using any colour medium, may be copied by hand.
41. Design an abstract (e.g. radial, mosaic, tessellation, outlining, etc.) design on 12”x18” (30cm x 45cm) paper.
GRADE 9-12
42. Drawing or sketch, using pen, pencil, or marker – mounted.
43. Style a hairdo on your cosmo head.
